'Tis the Season to be Jolly!

Throughout this month, it's a great opportunity to look back on the year, to reflect, and to celebrate our employees.

As the CEO, I am writing this blog during this holiday season and am dedicating it to my employees.

I want to show my appreciation to everyone that has helped Piccola Cucina grow and succeed. To my mother, my husband, my kids, my advisors, my partners and—most importantly—my team of employees from all corners of the world.

Not only am I very proud of my Canadian Italian heritage, but I am also proud of our team of 6, that have been given the opportunity to join our company this year, and are made up of international students, refugees, and immigrants.  They were thoughtfully and carefully chosen as my commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The business is so much more than manufacturing food products.  It is a platform for good, where we give back to the community as much as we can, where we lift up and elevate the lives of others, and provide opportunities where many may not have.  My goal was to create an environment where diversity is our competitive advantage.

Please meet the Piccola Cucina team and help me to celebrate where they come from: Sarah and my husband David are from the United States, Sasha and Olena from the Ukraine, Melody is French Métis, Caline is from Lebanon and Luis is from Ecuador.  As a team we cover the languages of Italian, Spanish, French, Arabic, Ukrainian & Russian.

My father Antonio, coming from Siciliy, Italy who immigrated to Canada more than 52 years ago setting roots down in Winnipeg and who made a commitment to keep our Italian Heritage the focal point of our lives.  To my Mother Anita, the founding partner and inspiration behind Piccola Cucina, Canadian born, who's father was an Italian immigrant and who's mother was a refugee to Canada from Dignano D'Istria.  Processing food runs deep in our roots, with my grandparents working until retirement at Crescent Creamery in Winnipeg.

I truly believe that without the support of every employee that joined Piccola Cucina, we would not have made it to 2022, and I am incredibly appreciative that the company continues to grow. With the help and support of my team, I hope to achieve our goals in 2023.

As you are aware, the holiday season is a time for giving and celebration. We hope this Signature gift box, filled with Piccola Cucina's Italian Macaroons will inspire you to share with your loved ones this holiday season.  It is filled with love, kindness, peace and joy.

This Holiday box is available for a limited time.

Happy Holidays to all and wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year.
