Pour in the dark rum and mix until the mixture forms a moist, firm dough.

If the mixture is too dry, add an extra splash of rum (or 1 teaspoon of water). If it's too wet, mix in a little more almond flour.

Scoop rounded teaspoonfuls of the mixture and gently roll into balls. If needed, lightly moisten your hands to prevent sticking.

Roll each ball in your preferred coating: icing sugar, cocoa powder, or desiccated coconut.

Place the rum balls on a tray lined with parchment or wax paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
